How the Skin Moves Nutrients

It is important to know the benefits for a massage, but in order to fully understand what the perks are, you must know a few things about the anatomy and physiology of the skin.

The skin is a very complex organ, and obviously one of the most significant ones. By understanding the anatomy of your face, and the layers of your skin, you can better create a beautiful and healthy complexion. Your skin is made up of two layers, the epidermis, the first layer, and the dermis, the second layer. The bottom layer of skin is where all of the nutrients, water, and oxygen are held, and if the skin is lacking in any of these, then the top layer, the epidermis, is negatively affected. Connective tissue also plays a role in how the skin moves nutrients. All of these substances are transported through this tissue to be removed as waste. The ability to clean, or move the waste, allows you to create an environment that is healthy and clean. Estheticians find that facial massages are very important to help move the waste out and create healthy skin.

By applying pressure and movement, the benefits of a facial massage become greater, and estheticians can help normalize the functions of connective tissue, freeing your skin of the harmful substances.

Now, put your best face forward, take care of all the layers in your skin, and let it work for you!

Too Young for Botox?

According to Daniel Rousso, M.D. a birmingham, Alabama basded facial plastic surgeon and president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery; too many twentysomething are using this heavy duty wrinkle fix. "Botox is safe, but its possible that starting young can lead to slight muscle atrophy and a chance of sagover time". (Daniel Rousso, M.D.) Also consider that this wrinkle filling habit- like injectables wear off and individuals will end up forking quite a bit of money every few months. The best way to prevent wrinkles is to consider early defense creams that contain peptides, which are chains of amino acids proven to help maintian collagen when used daily. Argireline, is one particular peptides that gently relaxes muscle contractions. There are many products to choose from so really labels carefully.

Basic Skicare Need 2

Everyone! Exfoliating is a crucial step in maintaining a healthy complexion. It is the one step that you will notice almost immediate results. It helps maintain your skin between professional treatments. Exfoliation works off the top layers of dead skin cells that accumulate on a daily basis.
There are many ways to properly exfoliate. At home remedies are ideal for weekly exfoliation. Professional services such as microdermabrasion, chemical peels and Retin-A are also options. It is recommended to exfoliate at least once a week. Oily skin types can exfoliate up to three times a week or every other day. Facial scrubs are the most common exfoliant for home use. When choosing one, be sure to choose a gentle, beaded scrub. Cheap scrubs contain larger grains that can tear the skin. Using an exfoliant will not only help maintain the overall appearance of the skin but also decrease the build up of dirt, oil and congestion within the pores. Receiving monthly professional treatments will help generate collagen, break down premature fine lines and reduce the appearance of enlarged pores.
If you are looking to cut back on expenses, but not at the expense of your skin, here are a few home made exfoliants. Use grapes for an anti-oxidant mask and the seeds to gently exfoliate. Combine whole grain oats with bananas for a great, soothing mask and scrub. Or, just simply mix baking soda with water. Microdermabrasion kits are also available to purchase for home use. Make sure to follow the directions included in the kit you purchase.
